All the years that Mandie, Melinda and Missy were growing up, I worked at a real newspaper and we traded ad space for tickets to the circus, Disney on Ice and some other events. Often we even got enough to take some of the grandkids. So, we got in free and rarely missed an event. I guess they sort of took that for granted and didn't realize that other kids did not get that luxury. So, now the tradition continues - no free tickets - but thanks to the XTO people, the gas royalties almost pay for the tickets. Oh what fun! Carter had his first Reese's Pieces and Abby and Anna danced to their hearts content since we had seats with no one behind us. Tommy enjoyed the $5 popcorn and Ben got to bring his friend, Noah and his sister, Caitlin. They had never been to such a show. We went in on the train - another treat for some. Until next year...
